My line has a stumbling block – Can you help?

The full problem can be seen in my previous post here: Help I have a Brickwall – PARRY

In brief:

George Rice Price PARRY was born in c. 1812 in the Isle of Man before coming to Wales – how and why I don’t know.

The only reference to a George Rice Price on the Isle of Man was a baptism in Douglas on 11 September 1812 but the surname given was OWEN. His parent’s were shown to be John OWEN and Ann and it is unclear if George was illegitimate or not as for the rest of the entries on the page, the mother’s maiden name was provided. I’m 99% sure that this is ‘my’ George.

I don’t know where to go from here. I need to confirm the baptism is correct. I need to follow this family backwards / or forwards to prove / disprove the theory.  However I can find no reference to PARRY being on the island at this time.

Can you offer any insight?
